Identity Checks
A. The reason for verification
1.1 You may hold an account with us only if online gambling is lawful in the place you live. To meet Canadian requirements, we run age checks, confirm each player's identity and apply anti-money-laundering controls.
1.2 Verification shows that you are 19 or older, that the account is yours and that the funds you use belong to you. Identity and geolocation checks are completed before we accept any deposit.
1.3 These checks also protect you. They stop other people from opening accounts in your name or using your payment details.
B. When verification is not completed
2.1 If the documents we ask for are not provided, or the details are inconsistent, deposits, play and withdrawals remain paused on your account.
2.2 We may close the account if a document seems to have been altered or to belong to another person. Any balance connected to suspected fraud or crime is held while we handle the matter under Canadian law.
2.3 We explain by email what is missing, so you know exactly what to send.
C. Identity and age checks
3.1 Most players are verified automatically from the details given at sign-up. When that is not enough, we request documents.
3.2 Identity: a clear image of one of the following: a Canadian passport, a driver's licence issued by your province, or a provincial photo identity card. The document must be valid, with all four corners visible.
3.3 Address: a document showing your full name and current home address, such as a recent bank statement, a utility bill or official government mail.
3.4 Payment ownership: for a card, upload a photo of the front of the card with the middle digits covered. For PayPal, Skrill or Neteller, send a screenshot of your account page showing your name.
3.5 Upload documents through the Verification page in your account. We tell you by email once each one is accepted.
D. Ongoing monitoring
4.1 Verification continues after sign-up. Our systems watch account activity for patterns linked to fraud or money laundering.
4.2 Examples include deposits withdrawn with almost no play, rapid changes of payment method, and use of payment accounts held by someone else.
4.3 All deposits and withdrawals must use accounts held in your name. We pay out by Interac e-Transfer, Apple Pay, PayPal, Skrill or Neteller.
E. PEP checks and sanctions screening
5.1 We screen every customer against Canadian and international sanctions lists. We repeat this screening as the lists are updated.
5.2 We also check whether a customer holds a prominent public position, or is related to or closely connected with someone who does. Such accounts are subject to enhanced checks and require senior approval.
5.3 We cannot offer our service to anyone named on a sanctions list.
F. Source of funds
6.1 For higher deposits or unusual account activity, we may request proof of where your funds come from. This could include recent payslips, bank statements, or documents confirming an inheritance or a property sale.
6.2 Where needed, we also look at your wider financial position to confirm that your play fits your means. This check also supports safer play.
G. Records and reporting
7.1 Verification documents and transaction records are held in secure storage for the period Canadian law requires. Details on how we handle this data are in our Privacy Policy.
7.2 Canadian law requires us to report suspicious transactions to the relevant authorities. The law also prohibits us from telling a customer that such a report has been filed.
